Software Developer - IBM OS/400

Your Tasks

You are responsible for the conception, design, and development of IT projects.
You plan and execute tests to ensure software quality.
You create and maintain program documentation.
You contribute to the optimization of processes.
In addition, you provide emergency support for the ERP system at our offices in Schaumburg and Santiago de Querétaro (Mexico) during the closing hours of our headquarters.

Your Qualifications

You have experience in development with RPG; knowledge of other programming languages such as Java or C/C++ is a plus.
You have practical experience on the IBM OS/400 platform (System i, Power).
You bring sound knowledge and hands-on experience with databases, ideally with DB2 on OS/400.
You are interested in and experienced with applying AI in software development, with the goal of increasing personal output through its use in everyday work.
You are willing to work with code that is commented in German, while daily collaboration with the team in Marbach (Germany) will primarily take place in English.
Very good written and spoken English skills are essential; German language skills are an advantage but not a requirement.
Strong teamwork skills, flexibility, an independent working style, and the ability to perform well under pressure characterize your profile.
